FWIW, 60 year old women have always dyed their hair blue, but no one thought it made them look "cool."
Not really haha. They called them bluehairs and it was just the poor quality hair dye that over time would have a little blue hue to it.
I'm talking about the fat ugly boomer women with their daughters in college dying their hair neon colors to try to keep up with the younger generation. It's fucking pathetic.
Good guess, but not quite right. "Bluehairs" came about due to the once common use of rinse products containing Bluing to reduce the yellow tinge of white hair. Elderly ladies would have lovely pale blue/lavender hair if too much was applied. No one mentioned it in polite company.
Now it's just fat losers showing their mass marketed "individuality". No one having blue hair today would be polite company.
I know what you mean, but my point is that at the end of the day they are old women doing what old women do and just deluding themselves that they are trendy.
