My car insurance is getting jacked up. I emailed a rep (actually more like 5 since every response is a different person) and can't get my rate back down. They are raising rates everywhere for no reason that they will tell me. They don't even have the correct vehicle info but keep saying it can't be changed because it's tied to the vin.

Anyway I had an idea. I change my deductibles to the max, $2000. It'll save me a lot of money. Then if I ever have a claim I can just grab my phone and change the deductible back to say $250. You can update coverage anywhere on the fly. It probably won't work but why not give it a shot if I need it? Everyone I ask tells me "Nah, they trace you" but on the other hand everything is so backed up, automated and diversity hired I'm starting to think I can get away with it.

It's new so I can't just do the minimum. I miss driving beaters around and not having to give a shit.

prices are nuts for trucks right now, it is hard for me to find one in my area for under $8k. Regardless of age and as long at is running.

i tried CL and Autotrader, with poor results.

I don't have a facebook acct, but apparently the facebook marketplace is the way to go these days.

Of course I should have known facebook has cornered that too. I never had an account and sometimes I can't even look at take-out menus because it requires a facebook login.
