I don't think myself a leftist whatsoever. I'm not some foreign-born brown with a chip on his shoulder. But despite being born on this land and having lived all my 30+ years of life upon it, all I've learned is that there is little pride to being an 'American.' And that the America of now is a horrific beast that has done untold damage to the world and whose death-by-a-thousand-diverse-cuts is happening right before our eyes.

We live in interesting times. America is dead. Its corpse is just being dragged around now. There is no unity left in its populace. Both sides of the political spectrum are expressing extremely little faith in the standing system while gnashing teeth at one another over a fake, gay virus while political absurdities, global and domestic, happen every single day that make the concept of Trump becoming president look like an opening gag. Maybe it was.
