Seriously, i just talked to my one friend who'se paying 30,000 for the venue alone. When i got married, the most expensive part was the wedding cake, and even then, my wife and i felt guilty that my mom paid so much for it. I think the total wedding cost for our home wedding was a whomping 800 bucks. It just blows my mind people spend so much for formalizing what is a piece of paper

Mine last year was less than a thousand. We had the ceremony in our backyard, and took everybody next door to a hotel lobby dining room that we catered olive garden into. It was awesome.
