So a question, for you guys. Do you feel your consumption of alcohol is genetic?
I have a drink here or there but I cannot really get too drunk because I either fall asleep or it makes my head fuzzy and that impacts what I do for a living. Alcohol to me is a fight with my body.
When you guys are consuming alcohol, is it like eating something delicious when you are hungry and you can't stop? Meaning, you get pleasure out of it and provides a level of satisfaction in the moment?
I'm curious. I am imagining that you guys must really enjoy it to consume it to any degree, I just cannot really.
I don’t know what it is, but give me the choice between water or beer I’m gonna choose a 12 pack at least.
Really? Wow. This must be genetic. There must be some sort of circuitry that react differently from mine when alcohol is involved. My father as well couldn't really drink too many, I've never seen him drunk.
I find it interesting how alcohol can also modify human behaviour in some dramatic ways. I just get sleepy and slow. I know people whose entire personalities change after a certain amount of alcohol. The problem is I cannot tell if the alcohol is changing them or just allowing them to be them selves.
Who knows, maybe it is genes. I got a brother that can keep it under control. One that doesn’t drink at all, a sister who over indulges on holidays only, and another brother who thought heroin was a good idea.
