Wife has family in Alabama. We're in NC currently. I know all about Asheville aka East San Francisco. I was looking at Black Mountain, but the state is fucked. Never going to be another Republican governor. Too many Yankee transplants.

Tri cities TN, not far from you, a world apart. Have friends there, they love it. People are honestly friendly, good demographics, economy, no natural disasters like bama or NC.

I had to stop making stops in Asheville a year ago, just went too far to shit. Totally unbearable even for a few hours.
