Looking at demographic maps, it looks like the northern 1/3 of the state past Birmingham is very white. I recall someone here posting about the area and I'd like to get some local opinions.

We're basically nomads. We've had to migrate farther from society every few years as NC has filled up with lefty transplants from New England. I'm trying to find the best area. Good to know about Huntsville. Sounds liberal as fuck. In NC we have the Research Triangle area filled with tech companies.

North east Alabama is rural with a lot of construction jobs and low property prices. check out Sand Mountain or the Fort Payne area.

Thanks. This is the kind of info I need. I hate urbanites so we were looking about an hour away from any city.

we are about an hour outside of Chattanooga TN. in Georgia would be happy to call you neighbor.

You can look at Tennessee too. Marion County and Grundy County. No state income tax in Tennessee.

Try Wisconsin... It's right between Mississippi & Alabama.
