I'm really good at getting them but not so much at keeping them. I got 5 kids by 3 women. Stop worrying about whether you'll get married or not and just be exciting and fun to be around. Tease and make jokes. Put yourself out there. The rest will work itself out.

It's a simple reason, actually - women like men that are confident and not afraid to speak their mind. I'd bet they were women with low self-esteem, frankly, but it isn't surprising that it would work, especially if she was drunk and lonely.
Being very direct, although I would suggest "wanna fuck?", is the best approach.
