Perhaps someone with experience can answer my question. I know that in Texas an inheritance is not considered to be community property. My question is, if that inheritance is in the form of property, that is subsequently sold, is that money then considered community property?

Find a CPA with a good handle on real estate taxes.

If there's no will and there are multiple heirs then yes land becomes community property and must either be shared or sold and the money split. Get a lawyer, avoid jews, they'll milk you for every spare shekel.
