I used to do it habitually for 3 years around a decade ago. I eventually quit once i started injecting and then eventually went cold turkey. Slept for like 2 days straigh. It's been a decade, but my brain still feels completely messed up. When I get super stressed my nose is able to smell gasoline, and i know why that is. It even manages to simulate that fun numbing feeling. And I still have these old remnants of anhedonia floating through my brain. It almost feels like I'm bipolar or something, since my mood can get so eratic at times. But the thing is, does Cocaine use prolong that far out from when you quit? Is the damage permanent, or is this something else that's undiagnosed?

Go see a docotr you trust. Phantom smells are nothing to play with. I do know an enlarged heart can a result of cocaine abuse.

What do phantom smells usually indicate?

Burning toast usually is the onsite of an aneurysm. Others im not sure. Could be nothing. Its one thing to try and maybe stitch yourself up or put some super glue on a very bad cut. Brain issues are ones i would not necessarily ignore. You can get a heart transplant. Not a brain transplant.

The two big ones that are recurring are the gasoline smell. Sometimes I'll hear a violin playing in the background, like a very clear musical violin instrument but there's no one else in my house, and no TV on or anything. I usually notice when I'm in a deep sleep but not quite asleep yet. It's an interesting phenomenon, and always made me wonder where it came from. Got an MRI scan but came back with nothing substantial, small fingernail tumor was removed but i cant get the stupid noise out of my head
