I used to do it habitually for 3 years around a decade ago. I eventually quit once i started injecting and then eventually went cold turkey. Slept for like 2 days straigh. It's been a decade, but my brain still feels completely messed up. When I get super stressed my nose is able to smell gasoline, and i know why that is. It even manages to simulate that fun numbing feeling. And I still have these old remnants of anhedonia floating through my brain. It almost feels like I'm bipolar or something, since my mood can get so eratic at times. But the thing is, does Cocaine use prolong that far out from when you quit? Is the damage permanent, or is this something else that's undiagnosed?

Gas and diesel fumes are a psychotropic substances by themselves, and instantly neurotoxic at that. No other drugs can cause instant brain damage with casual use. He mentions still smelling gasoline, so it sounds like the inhalants caused some brain damage as well as some reward associated rewiring in his brain.
