I don't know too much about them, but I do know they have different types, which presumably use different hormones or something.
I'm not sure that the pills have any long term effects. It might just be while you are taking them. I would take anything read on Voat with a grain of salt.
Oh I'm aware. That's why I asked for properly cited information. Otherwise it's a claim without solid proof

Also https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/hormones/oral-contraceptives-fact-sheet says "Overall, however, these studies have provided consistent evidence that the risks of breast and cervical cancers are increased in women who use oral contraceptives, whereas the risks of endometrial, ovarian, and colorectal cancers are reduced (1–3)."
