It's a "going all out" mode for them as well as they know people are moving right and they working to lock in a leftist rule. They think this term is their last chance and they are panicking and making mistakes. A good example is the push for lockdowns. Schools were closed, kids did virtual learning at home, the parents found out all the degenerate ideas being taught to their kids and now they are mad as hell and actually paying attention. It backfired. Schools have been leftist indoctrination camps for decades but the parents weren't paying attention.
