Seems odd to me that two sites whom promote freedom of speech have such animosity towards one another.

regardless of which site i check it seems there is always a hate on the other guy post and i just don't get that.

we are all in a war around the globe at this moment watching our very rights be stripped away, second by second, minute by minute.

it just seems logical that the few places where speech (seems) to be free that they should band together as it gives everyone a better chance to weather this storm we are all in

perhaps you're not paying attention.

the voat canary was dead for a while before they decided to go down. (not for monetary reasons). this is an admission that some legal government entity had forced engagement with the owners, and they weren't legally allowed to talk about it. magically, unknown people decided to resurrect the voat website as soon as it was sacrificed and attempted to heard everyone to the new website quickly as the compromised site was going down. yea, fuck off.

at least this place existed before all of that, and still has a canary.
