Seems odd to me that two sites whom promote freedom of speech have such animosity towards one another.

regardless of which site i check it seems there is always a hate on the other guy post and i just don't get that.

we are all in a war around the globe at this moment watching our very rights be stripped away, second by second, minute by minute.

it just seems logical that the few places where speech (seems) to be free that they should band together as it gives everyone a better chance to weather this storm we are all in

I supposed it can be viewed that way...

My response to another user fits here as well. Totalitarian incrementalism is chipping away and it is coming for us. Inevitably your participation in sites like this and old voat are going to be used against you. Authoritarians know about places like these and they have, are, and will continue use these places for their benefit.

True, but what this site does is show that we’re not alone. Our own thoughts will be used against us. But that’s no reason to run screaming for the hills. This site is a chance to fortify our own positions and resolve.

I agree, just pointing out that it exists and that everyone should be cognizant of it because they will use it against you.
