Evolution is bullshit, so this is a bit of a Catch-22

It's exactly what Darwin called it, a false guide. The idea that Zebras and Horses share a common ancestor is nearly guaranteed. It is true. The extrapolation of these observations and ideas to humans is falsehood that contravenes all religious thought.

I would not be surprised if all other life except for humans came from a single celled organism. I am not going to reinterpret the verses of the Bible and Quran that say God literally made humans out of acoustic onyx-colored fired slick clay.

I'm less tied to the corrupted and rewritten Bible that generally and vaguely says God made the animals and fish etc in genesis.

Only God knows if the passages you have are reliable.

Everything shows the magnificent power of God. In my opinion, saying that God used evolution to make animals and plants and bacteria and algae, is not diminishing His authority at all. Every single atom of everything is in complete obedience to what He wills, and He is aware of everything.

Islamically, we don't necessarily believe that God "hand made" all of the plants and animals, literally one by one (1,000,000 or 10,000 years ago). How can anything be made by any process except by the permission and allowance of God.

One huge caveat: the idea that single cell life came from free floating molecules is nearly impossible. I would agree with you that God likely miraculously the first life. I just don't see any contradiction if that is one cell.

The big exception are humans. God says he crafted Adam from fired mud/clay and then breathed a soul into him. He says He made Eve from his rib.

These statements have no room for reinterpretation.

Darwin's On the Origin of Species (1859) and The Descent of Man (1871) are great books aimed at the educated public. They are still worth reading today. Good audiobook versions are also available.

Darwin didn't know the "particulate" (genetic) nature of inheritance which would be discovered later by Mendel. Knaves and fools (some of the latter ITT) use that deficiency to misrepresent that Darwin's theory has been discredited. In fact the Mendelian laws of inheritance only strengthen the case, and Darwin's erroneous "blending" theory of inheritance is barely touched upon in the above works, so it doesn't make them any less valuable.

The technical unification of Darwinian evolution and Mendelian genetics was accomplished by Ronald Fisher in his Genetical Theory of Natural Selection (1930). This book is less accessible to the layman, but Fisher does provide a less-technical summary of each chapter. Importantly, the book includes a large and brilliant section on the application of the theory to past and future human societies (i.e. the dysgenic problem and the possibilities of eugenics).

I can recommend two based modern books:

Edward Dutton's At Our Wits' End (2018) is focused particularly on the effect of natural selection on human intelligence.

Kevin MacDonald's Individualism and the Western Liberal Tradition (2019) is an evolutionary history of the European race. I found it interesting and (unlike his more famous book on the Jews, Culture of Critique) enjoyable. MacDonald reviews and summarizes recent discoveries, with footnotes citing the original sources.

Among non-based modern authors, the best ones to read are probably David Reich, Richard Dawkins and Nicholas Wade.

Can you specify more about what in particular you want to learn and why? Is it the general concept or anything specific?

Well the whole road from 2 million years ago up to where we are now. Maybe one that can go into how the process occurred and has some insight on the multiple human species that didn't make it till now. Preferably a based one.

On the Origin of Species is an obvious choice for a general understanding, though for a more human focused book would be The Complete World of Human Evolution by Chris Stringer.

Biochemist Michael Behe's book "Darwin's Black Box" gives the basics then shows the limitations.

Naming Darwin’s Black Box to the National Review’s list of the 100 most important nonfiction works of the twentieth century, George Gilder wrote that it “overthrows Darwin at the end of the twentieth century in the same way that quantum theory overthrew Newton at the beginning.” Discussing the book in The New Yorker in May 2005, H. Allen Orr said of Behe, “he is the most prominent of the small circle of scientists working on intelligent design, and his arguments are by far the best known.” From one end of the spectrum to the other, Darwin’s Black Box has established itself as the key text in the Intelligent Design movement—the one argument that must be addressed in order to determine whether Darwinian evolution is sufficient to explain life as we know it, or not.

I enjoy reading Paabo Svantes research on Archaic Hominids and Spencer Wells is leading the forefront on Genetics and Chris Stringer who created the OoA Theory which had since been debunked and their is now an OoA2 Theory. BTW all three men are working together or at least have in the past.
