Im around 6'0 and 150 pounds. i used to be 135 pounds a little while ago, so im kinda annoyed about this. i currently am doing intermittent fasting with 18 hour fasting windows, and a mostly wet diet. i recently started increasing my water intake to around 3 gallons of water a day, and it seems to be making me gain weight instead of losing it. advice on how to get back down in weight?

It's an old trick I learned from a friend. Apparently water and hunger can not be differentiated by the stomach and brain, so whenever you feel hungry you drink water instead. Combined with intermittent fasting and a carnivore diet it worked wonders.

10 4. You could be killing yourself, however. I ran a weight loss clinic many moons ago and we recommended 6-8 8oz glasses of water daily. Believe it or not, drinking too much water can kill you, it called Hyponatremia. That's where your kidneys cannot get rid of the excess water and the sodium content of your blood becomes diluted. Also, you're drinking 24 pounds of water per day and your body cannot get rid of it all, this is probably the reason you are not losing the weight you want.

I was always told drinking water was a great way to lose weight though

Can also raise your blood pressure. I learned that the hard way. Friendly nurse clued me in. (For yearly CDL exam, drank much water before so I'd cough make enough urine. Also raised my BP, had to wait for the water to clear to get BP back down.)

I guess whoever told you that forgot to tell you everything.

Right....in moderation. OP do some more research. Check your micro nutrition intake as all that water could throw your electrolyte balance out of whack.
