Im around 6'0 and 150 pounds. i used to be 135 pounds a little while ago, so im kinda annoyed about this. i currently am doing intermittent fasting with 18 hour fasting windows, and a mostly wet diet. i recently started increasing my water intake to around 3 gallons of water a day, and it seems to be making me gain weight instead of losing it. advice on how to get back down in weight?

Dude, are you a fucking retard?

6' and you want to be 6'? Do you even fucking eat? My sister is 5'6 and weighs 125. You want to be 10lbs heavier than a woman who is 6 inches shorter than you?

[–] 1 pt

holy shit im 6'4 with LMM of 190 how the fuck can 4 inches shorted be 55 lbs less than my LMM

[–] 1 pt

I just feel bloated when i get too heavy, so i like to stay very lean

[–] 2 pts

Because you're gaining fluid weight and whatnot. Gain muscle.

Lol that fuck will be 180 and mad

One of the primary characteristics of Anorexia is being underweight, and i am clearly not. I would still need to lose 15 pounds to get there. So i dont think this fits the bill

You got parasites....Ivermectin that people have been talking about is a de-wormer. May work may not, lots of cleansing stuff out there. You can always fast and starve them out....

[–] 1 pt

I'd like to try this for mental clarity.

As for the fasting and starve them out, any info on this protocol?

Thats maybe a bit lean

This is me curentlly(https://u.smutty.horse/mcufizbeple.jpg). You can see i have some stomach fat there, and the hips look too wide

You have a self image problem. 150 is a great weight. 135 would be way under weight

Instead of losing weight, I would gain muscle by lifting weights/benching so you can feel good about your chest. Practice stomach vacuum to train your gut not to hang out.

You sound like an anorexic fool.

You just eat less, it really is as simple as that. Stop with bullshit water and diet fads.

Reduce intake.

[–] 4 pts

Yeah, intermittent fasting. Regular walking. I introduced my mom to intermittent fasting and she lost 65 lbs and doesn’t have to blood pressure meds anymore. And fucking lift while you’re at it.

Just breathe less, too. It's as easy as that.

[–] 2 pts

Fat fucks with no will power should actually stop breathing yes.

Just pointing out that eating less calories is how you lose weight, but it's not easy. When you're fat your body is completely out of whack. It will send signals that you're starving as soon as it senses you're dipping into your fat reserves. You can know you're not in danger of dying, but your body will make a lot of chemical signals like you are. It's difficult to ignore a biological imperative like signals to eat or breathe.

I'm sure this biological fact will make you angry, just like biological sex makes shitlibs angry, but it doesn't change the reality.

It sounds like you need to gain weight if you are a man. If you are a woman then you are up against the most difficult task a woman can do. Keep your mouth shut. Not just when you want to eat but also when you want to complain about some stupid shit.

[–] 3 pts

Amen brother. The only way a woman can keep a secret is if you whisper it in her asshole because she won't fart in public.

[–] 2 pts

Calories in < calories out. Simple as.

Also 6' and 150lb? That's not very heavy. 6' and 135 is absolute skellington mode.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

You are underweight for your height if you're a man, but probably ok if you're a woman. If you're a man I highly recommend eating more (keep it clean though) and lift heavy to build muscle mass.

[–] 1 pt

I mean I do eat, kale, raspberries, a lot of meat, but no junk food, carbs, etc. Also a man, not female

Then yeah, please increase your intake and start lifting heavy weights. Hopefully gyms are open where you are.

[–] 1 pt

One doesn't need a gym, just a log and a pile of rocks. Flip/carry the log around and move the pile of rocks from one area to another. Wash, rinse, repeat. You'll find muscles you never knew you had doing that shit.

Assuming you are a man between the ages of 19-24..... Firstly, if you are 6 feet tall and weigh 150 pounds, you are at the lower end of the ideal weight and should probably gain a few pounds. Unless for vanity reasons, you don't need to lose weight.

Secondly, it's not as simple as how much water you drink daily but according to you're drinking WAAAAY too much water. Recommended daily intake for men is 125 fluid ounces (One gallon is 128 fluid ounces) but other factors are at play. I suggest you seek the advise of a nutritionist or your doctor.

It's an old trick I learned from a friend. Apparently water and hunger can not be differentiated by the stomach and brain, so whenever you feel hungry you drink water instead. Combined with intermittent fasting and a carnivore diet it worked wonders.

[–] 2 pts

10 4. You could be killing yourself, however. I ran a weight loss clinic many moons ago and we recommended 6-8 8oz glasses of water daily. Believe it or not, drinking too much water can kill you, it called Hyponatremia. That's where your kidneys cannot get rid of the excess water and the sodium content of your blood becomes diluted. Also, you're drinking 24 pounds of water per day and your body cannot get rid of it all, this is probably the reason you are not losing the weight you want.

[–] 1 pt

I was always told drinking water was a great way to lose weight though

Unless you're trying to make weight for some kind of competition, stop trying to lose weight, and start working on improving your body composition.

That means working out, building lean muscle, and eating well. At a minimum, get started on bodyweight squats, pushups, and pullups.

Calculate your TDEE to figure out your caloric needs. Focus on macros if you want. Nothing wrong with intermittent fasting, in fact I rather enjoy it. But there's no reason at all to drink 3 gallons of water. That's way too much. Stop it.

The link below is an old copy of my training spreadsheet. I don't need it anymore, but it might be helpful for getting your TDEE and setting up a routine.

Drink sodium hydroxide.

Stop dieting and be happy where you are at. I would kill to be 150 pounds of lean muscle (not skin and bones). I would maintain that wait and work on muscle tone, and strength. Hit the gym. Dump the sugary soda, and sugar in general. If you are anorexic and looking for help. I would recommend a local hospital and consult a dietician.
