I don't even know anyone personally who is a cop. I know one guy who has a government job and torment him endlessly about how much of a faggot he is. I can't imagine knowing a cop, I'm pretty sure I would turn into a broken tourettes record, foam at the mouth and croak out "pig", "nigger" and "cunt and every combination of the words.

Know any cops? Are they all faggots? I think you'd have to be.

You would think that detective work would allow for an exception but no, you get the best of an already limited pool of intelligence. It's no wonder why so much crime goes unsolved. And why they are always trying to push the boundaries of what they are allowed to do to gain an advantage.

The smartest guy I ever knew had wanted to be an FBI agent in the late 80’s. He decided to go local first, Houston PD with the goal of being a detective. His IQ was too high, they told him to pound sand. Now he’s a millionaire, and very glad he didn’t become a pig. Cops are glorified. They’re mostly fools and sociopaths. Threatening lying snitches and corruption is the only way they ‘close’ cases.

True, I know several people who tried because they were bored/desperate for work. If you score too high on the application test you wont be admitted (In Australia, at least). Same with the armed forces.

I have a buddy who is a cop, genuniely good guy. He just isn't the smartest or handiest dude around so it was a good fit for him. Sadly its made him kinda bitter and really cynical about people

It has been repeatedly upheld in court that departments can put a limit on the IQ qualify for patrol.

They use the standard Wunderlic test to determine IQ. It's relatively good.

That being said, I work with police from all over the world. There are elite groups. There are corrupt groups. There are occult groups and secret societies. There are also a lot of really good guys who want to see good things happen.

They are lied to more than any other group by their handlers, so it's hard to blame many of them for being misguided.

Plus, once you've seen the world from a cop's point of view, it's hard not to see scumbags everywhere. You get to see, first hand, that EVERYONE IS DIRTY.

This is similar to the epiphany soldiers in Afghanistan face. "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?" They all have that moment.

Cops also have that moment.

That's when the true self reveals itself because you decide, then and there, how to cope. Do you join in on the corruption and get your payday? Do you fight it and die? Do you bide your time and play along until you can fuck over some big players? Do you move along? Do you just do the bare minimum to collect a paycheck?

A lot of the problems with cops can be dealt with the same way problems in the military and politics can be dealt with. Transparency. Good luck voting in more government transparency.

They pretty much all have a chip on their shoulder and desperately long to become apart of some group. There's plenty of LE orgs that do not hire individuals that persist IQ ranges. This has been reported on many times over the years, but news agencies and LEOs pretty much always do this spin where they use vague language like "we don't really not hire people that exceed median IQ ranges... we promise".

I suspect a combination of, sub 105 IQ and being raised on cockmeat sandwiches. I know some cops I'd like to shoot in the face, does that count?
