All the features you need to make it legitimately useful are behind a 7 buck per month pay wall. Without paying up, it has little if any value IMHO. They got greedy. Had a decent amount of features been free, it would interest me and I might even subscribe ... but as it stands it's a total turn off.

You make a valid point, this is something I’ve thought about before and probably will until I figure out a solution if there even is one. I’d like to encourage people to bring ideas out into the open, but bad ideas are bad example being sticking a fork in a light socket it’s a bad idea objectively yet some people will still bring up ideas like this, I already strong encourage people here to argue rather than downvote.

I don't know of a solution either short of removing voting. And that's a horrible idea on basically every level. It's just...I guess frustrating. 4chan was very very good in it's platform, in terms of pushing threads based on views and replies as opposed to up or down votes. It was also one of the only bastions on the web a weeb or furfag could go and basically do whatever they wanted. But today, ESPECIALLY with the overbearing amount of politics that are injected into everything (right wingers are just as guilty as left), it's near impossible to discuss stuff that deviates even slightly from accepted norms.

Its bad when I fucking miss AOL and 4chan, yo.

Hey I get it and all I can say is you do you, I won’t downvote content unless it’s spam or in a not appropriate sub.

I miss the early days before normal people were on line sometimes. However I don’t think we’d have quite the same group here if it were back then.
