Is their some super design or material that would be the ultimate gun would it have 100 round mags with no problems? Would it be an alternative but made out of different material stronger lighter better barrel more stainless steal parts?

Just curious it seems our milltary has been given a pretty basic weapon considering how much they spend on every thing else.

"Assault weapon" is a subjective term, I usually use a teal blue hydroflask water bottle filled with ice and water, and covered with butterfly and dolphin stickers.

That shit is heavy as fuck, and nobody ever expects to get bashed in the head with such a gay water bottle.

"Assault weapon" is a subjective term,

"The semi-automatic weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's
confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic
assault weapons anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to
be a machine gun can only increase that chance of public support for
restrictions on these weapons."

[–] 2 pts

He'll be back - with that toast.

isnt that what Governor commienigger said in the movie?

[–] 1 pt

Im not sure. Im speaking frommy approach as an engineer. A toaster needs atleast 500watts or greater

[–] 0 pt

40 watts over 1 um2

It will give you the Darth Maul treatment.

You are thinking about it all wrong. That rifle will be no good without ammo. You going to carry your ammo supply everywhere?

My rifle is a super rifle because I will be able to easily source ammunition, its reliable, and shoots on target. In combat the basics is what matters.

"Assault weapon"

Someone drank the cool aid.

Just using common terminology that is in the lexicon...

What would it be called? Millitary riffle I guess.

Ok because you need to learn. The term "Assault weapon" was invented in the 80s I recall, by democrats to demonize certain types of rifles. An "Assault weapon" is nothing more than a rifle with nifty trinkets attached. My 10/22, the smallest caliber rifle, can be modified to look like a very bad ass "Assault weapon" when in reality it's a plinker.

[–] 0 pt

Hello my fellow military rifle aficionados.

[–] 0 pt

They're called modern sporting rifles.

What was the weapon given to American millitary infantry called during ww2?

What ever that is that's the name I would suggest

The m4 is pretty much the perfect standard issue military rifle given our current tech.

100 rnd mags are largely irrelevant for military applications. Sustained fire even in semi auto will overheat your barrel. Changing mags every 30 rnds gives time for the barrel to cool and limits tunnel vision. They are also easy to carry.

The rifle is only as accurate as the user, so for the average marine an M4 with a trigicon is going to hit what he's going to hit.

The 5.56 round is pretty much optimal for general use. It's got a reasonable range, reasonable weight and a nice level flight path, making it very accurate. Everything is a trade off so a more powerful round is heavier.

The rifle itself is also very light weight. It's got steel where it's needed and the rest is plastic. Bullpups are a meme, mass produced ones have shitty triggers which make them less accurate and the benefit of it being slightly shorter is negligible.

There have been multiple attempts to replace it but proposed no replacement has been a significant upgrade.

Ruger Mini14 like the M4 is based on the Garand action.

You mean M14?

Isn't it easier to to dive rolls with a bullpup?

I need to know as most military maneuvers I see on tv require many dive rolls.

I think it's a physics science thing. A spinning body mass like that will create anti-gravitational wave forms that magically create a shield of inpenatrability.

I like the aussie steyr aug. It's nice to have a weapon in the states that you can never find parts for.

I don't have any trouble doing a triple lindy with my ma deuce.

[–] 0 pt (edited )

tripple lindy

Wow you most be special forces.

I heard Audie Murphy could only do a double Lindy, but he did it bouncing off of german tank barrels while reloading his gun and throwing grenades in live combat, so still fairly impressive.

I like to train in my grandma's carpeted basement. I eat my hot pockets cold.

That would depend on what you are defending against. Close or far. Far is an M-14/308. Close is a 12 ga pump.

[–] 1 pt

I would prefer the Fostech Origin 12.

ZSU-23-4M5.

For individual carry, probably a variant of a mac-10 or other easily concealable automatic weapons platform.
