Thats disheartening but the truth always shines through, there can't be a healthy marriage when no one is the leader and I say that knowing from experience and lots of it.
Believe it or not, I was a liberal up until just a few years ago, I never agreed with censorship of any kind but I was a liberal none the less. Having kids helped wake me up a lot, along with learning more about my faith. So don't lose hope, the one thing that is certain in life is change and experience does a lot to wake people up to reality.
I know they will at least get to see one example of what a man should be so I wouldn't lose hope.
This is true they will see several hardworking men on my husband's side of the family so hopefully it will make some difference. The problem with coparenting though is you essentially lose a lot of parental rights that you would normally have because you have to worry the other parent will take you to court if they disagree with how things are done at your house. It's also more complicated when you are raising children in different States. Apparently in CA it's abusive and seen as a punishment to teach your 8 year old sons how to make their own sandwich.
Well thats fucking retarded. Kids should be making their own food, it helps them become independent.
I can't say I completely understand the situation I don't, and I know it sucks ass, we all have to play the hand we're dealt and do our best with what we have. If you are trying as hard as I am guessing you are I'd bet it'll all work out in the end.
