Easy. Musketeer. So, since we're talking about bows at first, I'm guessing the samurai has a bow, as well as probably a katana or at least a wakazashi as his 'sidearm'. The musketeer has the musket with bayonet. They probably both have a knife because why wouldn't they but that's neither here nor there. So, musket man wins on both accounts. Gun beats bow. Sure, the forest setting hampers both of their range, neither one of them are nailing 100 yard shots in the woods, but it gives the musketeer cover to reload if he needs to. If the samurai evades the shot and closes distance, musketeer wins again. A rifle with a bayonet is basically a spear. Spear beats sword.
