The thing is you can't downvote more than you upvote. So they will go and randomly upvote things so they can cast the equivalent downvotes to target users.
When their votes get cancelled, users who got artificially upvoted will also lose the related points.

No, it just seemed weird. doesn't make sense because I've been so busy with work lately haven't had much time to post so couldn't figure out how that much dialback could happen every day over a weeks time.

Yes, that's happened to me before but this seems different. Every night in the middle of the night I'm getting these huge dialbacks. Just over the last 4 or 5 days. I can't possibly have posted or commented enough lately for that to happen.
