The Constitution was only meant for a moral and upstanding society. It is inadequate for any other type. This is from a famous quote but I forget by whom. It makes sense though. If you don't have a society of people who are willing to stand up for and defend the ideas in the Constitution then it is useless. Plain and simple. The document itself can neither defend its ideals nor can it condemn those who would work against them.
That only leaves one question. What kind of person are you?
