As far as I know, this is only happening in a few Sydney neighborhoods. Here in Victoria we have been in lockdown for 2 weeks with no sight of this bullshit ending. IDEK... a lot of people have clued on. There are huge protests happening, 10s of thousands of people. The news will say "oh a few hundred attended" that's not true at all... it's a huge amount of people. I also read somewhere recently that only about 12% of Australians are fully vaccinated - which gives me a little hope. Anyway, if you had some specific questions I will try to answer, I'm about 100km west of Melbourne.

Definitely not normal at all. I doubt they are happy about it too. I don't know any details because they are so far away. Sydney honestly looks like more of a hell than here at this point. Beyond the propaganda signs everywhere you drive things look relatively normal here (small city, still considered pretty metro). It's hysterical nonsense where the idiots in power have this hellbent strategy of there being zero cases of corona in the country, because they seem to think that without the (((vaccine))) that we'll be a smoking ruin if it's allowed to run rampant. Nevermind the fact they are turning the country into a smoking ruin faster by locking people up like animals. The reason that the "cases" are going up is because NPCs go and get tested even without symptoms. In NSW there is roughly a 0.3% strike rate on tests vs. actual cases - and these clowns use this as justification to lock down the entire state. Even though there's a lockdown, a lot of people have said "fuck it" and will go and do what they want anyway. Hence the military response (but it's not working either). Where I live it's like a regular day, to be honest - you wouldn't even think there was a lockdown - which is great. I can't comment on what it's like in other parts of the state though. Fuck "lockdowns" and fuck "restrictions". I do what I want - and I have encouraged others to do the same.
