Probably you're full of shit. Warm untreated water can cause fatal bacterial infections if it makes up your nose. Neti pots come with instructions to use distilled water, but some people don't pay attention to that.
The problem is the upper sinus connects to the brain. Trust me, that's an infection you want to avoid.
I've dove headfirst into swimming holes for years, but thankfully I learned the golden rule.

In theory, it should clear out some of the dead virus waste, so you'd start with less to work with. And it's possible the salt in the water could disrupt the test, but you'd probably need a lot of it still in your nose.

It's a worthwhile experiment.

Do what I did.

Look the test taker DEAD IN THE EYE and say half-joking "If you touch my brain things are going to get ugly real fast"

Back out right as they try to shove that thing up there. Then say "thanks" get up and walk away.

Chances are they're so sick of doing these test they could care less.

I talked to someone fairly recently who got tested. They said their swab was only in the lower nose.
The again I know someone who was supposed to be injected with the 1 shot J&J, only to be called back 3 wks later and told he was in fact given Pfizer #1 and needed to return.
There is definitely not a uniformity to this. Witness the rogue nurse who supposedly used saline on thousands of patients.

To pass the PCR, get a little spray bottle and fill it with Chlorine dioxide. A couple of blasts before you go in and you'll be golden.

no because the contamination could come from anwhere- dust, or the positive test control. not necessarily your nose.
