Are you on FB? FB leveraged the right way can still be helpful. I will be homeschooling so I’m only in groups out of curiosity and to offer advice, but there are a lot of local groups I am in on FB fighting local battles like you’re talking about. If you don’t know where to look (they’re having to get really sneaky with the private group titles), the first think I’d suggest is to join some local health, freedom, or “crunchy mom group” and ask around in there. Someone should be able to point you to the local activist group(s) whether on or off FB. Either way, you’re going to need to find your local freedom fighters and work with them. You’ll be more effective as you can leverage what others are already pushing for. Good luck! If homeschooling is remotely an option, I suggest looking into that as your long term solution.
