Doing rough math there are about 30 million people with IQ's over 120 in America. That was my cutoff. We would only want young fertile people. So we could take about 15 million smart people to mars and America would be doomed. Granted we would have to supply women as well seeing as that 15 million is going to be quite the sausage fest. Probably because they would mostly be German?

it's an 8 month flight each way and unless they build thousands of ships and find hundreds of qualified personnel as well as make sure everyone gets along, it's a long stretch.

Then factor how many materials and how much fuel and money would be needed. Back to what I said before, that 8 month flight would create massive cabin fever on all of the ships. The planning and building as well as material/fuel will take decades.

A plannedemic and political turmoil worldwide during a major recession globally doesn't fix the odds of it happening before 2100 in a positive way either.

Knowing our moronic embracement of multiculturalism there would probably be multiple minority and female hires as well. The whole thing won't happen until we can figure out how to sort out one planet, let alone two.
