That name doesn't make any sense. We should name them after what was new at the start of the generation. Millennials would be the CD generation or the AOL generation.
Everyone in that generation doesn't know what it's like to not have large media storage or online forums.

80% of the people we call Millennials are actually Gen Z. Millennials start in the early 80s. I thought it was the end of the 80s.
New problem and new solution. Let's call people after their birth decade to make it simple. Maybe drop the zero, and beyond 2000 you get an extra 10.
Born in the 80s, you are gen 8. Born in the 90s you are gen 9. Just became an adult? Your are gen 10.

The easiest way to explain "Millennial" time frame is if you were not 18 by the year 2000 you're probably a Millennial. Because 2000 - 18 = 1982.
