I once heard a word for it, but it slipped my mind. I’m 90% certain the term starts with the letter M.

It may be a Yiddish or Italian word.

Crypto-jew. Converso. Marrano.

You're thinking of marrano. It's a Spanish word that means pig. It's what they've called crypto-jews since the Inquisition.

Perfect! That’s the one!

Appreciate it.

I remember a "limerick," that I was taught, as a child. "Limerick," in that it was a similar sentence structure, but it had all the latin-derrivative ways of saying the word "pig." That's all it was: a dozen ways of saying the word "pig." It was funny-as-hell, to a little kid, let me tell you. "Marrano," was definitely one of them.
