For those who didn't read the full paper, their isolate was determined using an RT-PCR.

2.3. Detection of SARS-CoV-2 using a TaqMan Real-time RT-PCR assay

The RT-PCR cannot distinguish SARS-CoV-2 from other coronaviruses nor influenza A or B. As Ivermectin was previously determined to be an effective treatment of influenza A and B, it should come as no surprise that samples deemed positive by RT-PCR failed to replicate.
