So i was explaining to m brother one of the easiest way for me to clean my cast iron pan is to take the meat grease (i only use it to cook meat) from the pan and feed it to my dog. I just take said pan, put in the floor and have him lick it, he loves it. Anyways, my brother was horrified by the thought that i let my dog eat from a pan. I was just thinking though, it gets heated up and cleaned anyways, and any cooking done on said pan at high heat will eliminate bacteria. Is it healthy for my dog? Possibly not, but i dont do it that often. Is it going to kill me? Not really. But just the thought of a dog licking food out of a pan that i happened to use for cooking was enough to make him convulse, the look on his face was priceless ....
