Faith is not based on repeatable empirical facts. It’s in fact the entire opposite of it.

I plan to answer this one later today, but you are absolutely right it is the opposite, thats kind of the point. The entire point of asking for faith is asking you to believe something that cannot be proven. IF you could prove it, it wouldn't be faith. I totally get why this bothers a lot of people, however its literally the basis for western civilization faith, without it America never happened, western values never happens. So its why I choose to see some value in it, and try to have it myself. I don't blame people who don't have it I get why someone wouldn't even want to have it. However I choose to and its served me well, its made my life better and directed me to do things I probably wouldn't otherwise have done.

Apologies for the wall of text, just thought my thoughts might add something to the comment chain.

I totally understand your point.

I grew up inspired by faith to a point where I realized that I could be a better person without it.

Knowing that people care and love me for who I am is the best motivator.

Aren’t we supposed to hate each other and be at each other’s throats over different beliefs? We can’t have civil disagreements now, that would be crazy! 😂
