challenges are usually things you have at least a slim chance of succeeding at. having a giant boot stamping repeatedly on your face is not a challenge. the boot takes many forms.
Men today can choose to "opt in" to manhood, vs a life of transitory relationships, video games, porn and weed. Challenges are now considered optional, and human nature is to do as little as possible.
I see , yes some boys never mature into men. Usually they are raised ( or not raised really ) by single mothers.
Raised by single mother here. Weed and video games even at my late (I'd say) age. Now it's not like I'm not aware of it but I'm disappointed in myself that I'm lazier (in life not work) than I thought. After becoming a born again Christian I realized God has been there keeping me wise enough and cared for enough by my mother that I've stayed out of trouble and have a high intellect occupation. I didn't do it on my own but I didn't have help from much but my mother and God. That can not be denied. So I figured fine. Get a bike. Go outside. Get off the computer. See some mountains.
