Plus when the power goes out, your stove still works all you need is a lighter, dude with the electric stove is SOL

In the middle of winter somehow I don't see that working out for them very well, then again there was a time I was out in -10 weather grilling venison on a charcoal grill and that was fun so, maybe I'm wrong.
No power and it's all you have ... you do what ya gotta do. Just don't burn charcoal in an enclosed shape unless you're looking for a trip in one of those long black limos.
Power outages are why my family will always have gas ranges. You just have to watch the ovens with electric starters.
We've had some bad brown outs during winter. We were able to cook everything ok and heat the house with the gas oven.
I don't think you can heat a room up with an electric oven.
Honestly I can heat up a room with the electric one we have but if the power was out its not doing shit, gas furnace wood stove and fireplace and a 5k generator bring on the power outtages lol.
