I honestly dislike electric it’s what I have now but I’ll switch to gas when I get the chance.

I’m curious what everyone else thinks?

That's not really necessary. I got my start by simply saving glass salsa jars and bottles for later reuse. I got into the habit of buying it in the glass jars and honestly, the mass produced stuff is surprisingly better than most folks give them credit and oftentimes very cost effective to purchase than make, especially if you reuse the glass jars.

See I always mean to save salsa jars and stuff like that but I end up either recycling them due to not wanting to take the time to scrub them clean(at least I assume this is my wifes logic) shhhhh don't tell her I'm talking about this.

Cleaning them is easy. The labels tend to be the tedious part of the affair. If the labels are paper, you can just soak them in water and scratch them off. If they're plastic, you can fill the jar up with hot water, put the lid on, then peel the labels off easily. All done while at the sink cleaning the dishes.
