They get mad when I leave to run errands, take the kids to the park, ect.
There's a saying - one lie is more convincing than two lies. Take a mask with you (and extras for the kids). When they get mad at you for leaving act like they are right to get mad because it's really dangerous but then show the mask(s) and say don't worry I (we) have our masks! Then smile and walk out the door like it's the most natural thing in the world to go outside.
80% of people's evaluation of you is just if you look happy and like you know what you're doing. The remaining 20% isn't helped by having 10,000 resources or trying to convince them, that just makes you look weak to the hindbrain. Just pick one response, the shortest, easiest, most impossible to deny response; give it confidently and concisely, then smile and proceed as though no approval is needed.
- Go outside -> I/kids have mask(s) it's safe :) see you soon!
- Are you vaxxed? -> Yes! [they didn't specify vaxxed for what] I'm safe :) see you soon!
- Are you covid vaxxed? -> Yes I'm getting it! [you didn't specify when] I'm safe :) see you soon!
- What if you/we/the kids get covid? -> Then we have to treat it early! Delaying lets the disease get ahead of you! I'm prepared :) see you soon!
I heard tonic water has quinine in it which might help. I'm not sure an easy answer to the "How will you treat it early?" question yet.
