Holy fuck i tell everyone i know not to work for amazon. I am just going by stories from other people it is incredibly toxic. Meetings and calls 24 hours a day. It is so bad they had to announce a fucking 'progressive reform' of mandating 15minute cool down periods after meetings so people can actually work instead of attending more meetings. Fuck AWS and I'm pretty sure the stock units are vested for like 5 years. I actually have worked with them as a consultant and pajeet management is rampant. They seem to never have responsibility or answers for anything because any measurable performance errors can get them fired. So you will ask a basic question and be forwarded 10x and eventually end up in a chime call with hundreds of other people with the CTO or sr management trying to fucking get their attention for your question. Their documentation is pretty solid so it wasn't the worst but still fuck that.
