He was doing some really cringe pro woman books like Rose Madder and Bag of Bones before he got hit by the truck. Then he got hit and he came out with some of the worst shit he's ever written. Dreamcatcher might be the worst book I've ever read. It's got so many fucking problems and Lisey's Story is sniffing his own farts.

And after the accident he started getting much more political. His best stuff was when he was crazy on coke and booze- all his classic shit was written then.
