If you uninstall in Windows and then find you cannot hit certain sites as if your computer was changed then in command prompt put in "netsh winsock reset". Your tip/ip stack will be reset to it's first installed condition as if you did a full windows reinstall. Took me weeks to find that command that fixes what ipconfig won't touch. Just highlight the words without "" then copy and paste in command box and if I remember right you have to reboot. If you have a preinstall it might go into the backup partition of your windows install at the end of your hard drive which is a hidden partition.
Just some command an old windows dork found years ago and it worked in 2014 on XP pro but it may still be in there today.
