I believe this is referring to the prophecy of Malachi? Pretty sure that has been debunked.

Look up the Apparition at Akita, and the messages of Mary to Sister Sasagawa, and the (unapproved) apparitions at Garabandal. If man does not return to God, then there will be a terrible tribulation that will wipe out 2/3 of the population of the earth, and it will be so bad afterward that the remaining 1/3 will envy the dead.

Just reading up on these things - even though I'm pretty agnostic it's nice to be knowledgeable about this stuff.

Interesting is the events of the latter - the Vatican won't approve them because "it's not supporting our doctrine". Pretty sure that any godly power that may exist would override their bullshit.

to be clear, the Garabandal apparition has not been approved, but that doesn't mean it has been deemed un-authentic. I could be wrong, but I think they are waiting for approval/disapproval to be truly sure that these are authentic. The Garabandal apparitions do, however, mirror the prophecy of the Akita apparition.
