Butteryfly theory style.

If we're pulling energy out of the wind that was going to go elsewhere, could that impact the weather more than power plants?

Forests aren't known for their warmth, the energy absorbed from wind produced as heat should be neutralized or negated by the cooling effects of wind.

Wind farms are converting rotational energy generated by wind blades(wings) not frictional energy, the frictional energy in the housing stays behind and is dissipated by grease and coolants.
