Lost my encrypted 100gb txt veracrypt container by using lili and fat formatted my 2tb drive. im a retard it formatted it in fat32 then i did a windows fast format back to ntfs. (maybe this made things worse) hoping this allows me to retrieve the 100gb txt container.

recuva is currently on a deep scan estimating 24hours or should i use drill disk ? i know the file name of the txt if that is any help. (opslag.txt) 100gb can you guys help me get my archive container back from the disk ?

Linux has a great tool called "TestDisk" that can recover lost files. If you want to use it (and don't have a Linux machine; Download Linux Mint and throw it on a USB drive and boot the machine. Once booted into the live environment run the following from a terminal: sudo apt install testdisk -y ... once installed type sudo testdisk ... from there you can go here for the steps to use the tool: https://www.journaldev.com/36700/how-to-install-testdisk-on-linux-and-recover-deleted-files
