I'm stocking up a bit on toilet paper , dunno why but people for some reason act like there will never be any when shutdowns occur.

Buying a bit more canned goods each week. Grabbing extra home cleaning supplies too.

Save your tp monies for ammo and a source of drinkable water. I invested in a bidet so I don’t need to stress on the tp.

We resisted getting a bidet seat for so long because we didn't want to seem weird when people came to visit but the tp insanity of last year made us bite the bullet and after a few day's learning curve, we can't believe we didn't do it sooner! Using a hotel bathroom a few weeks ago made us both appreciate it so much more lol. Everyone should get one! The toilet paper we have in our cabinets will probably last us several years now...

Best bet is to identify local fresh water locations in your area. You will undoubtedly have to boil or distill it but there are fresh water reserves all over the United States, at least in the habitable parts (Fuck off you desert dwellers, why are you living in the desert?).

Food would be another issue. If it ever gets THAT bad though the modern world is gone and forming a local community, raider gang, farming group is a priority, whichever one you choose.
