I've come into contact with a few. It's the same with openly gay and lesbian.
I put on a fairly stoic front generally to anyone irl, kinda stay blind to it.
Don't know if it's just my personal demeanor or not but that appears to rile them. They seem to like to divide others into love or hate them. Incapable of dealing with ambivalence.
They never last long even if people are accepting.

I agree. They really want people to make a fuss over them if you do t it makes them mad.
