I finally asked my boss for a raise and got it. After watching us raise all my subordinates pay; I simply said with the current market, I don't feel my salary is competitive anymore. There wasn't even any pushback.

Maybe it's time for top execs and CEOs to scale back pay.

No. With the southern border being flooded with people willing to work for below-market wages, the number is low-skill workers will out strip the supply of low skill jobs, further driving down wages.

This is very possible. I wouldn't be surprised that we start seeing the unfilled jobs as firepower for those who wish to import cheap labor.
