If autism runs in your family, avoid aluminum. About half of the vaccines contain aluminum. Hep B is probably the worst offender, three doses each high in aluminum, and people started getting it in the 80s. I suspect that the aluminum deposits in autistic brains come from vaccines, but I also try to reduce it in our diet. Double-acting baking powder is the biggest culprit. Single-acting works just as well and doesn't contain aluminum. Argo brand is single-acting and available in most stores. ----------- I wouldn't worry about SIDS too much, but you might as well put your kid on his back to sleep. There are a variety of causes of SIDS (such as murder) but most of them have to do with difficulty breathing.
