Why do people slow down when they see that a cop has pulled someone over for speeding? Wouldn't it make more sense to speed up since you know they aren't going to leave the person they are currently ticketing?

I think in most places there is some sort of law about driving with plenty of clearance. Slowing down as well I think. Also, I like to see what is happening.

Yeah, move over or slow down is law in my state. Plus, some sneaky cops will dothat shit behind a broken down vehicle to look like theyre already busy.
