Civilized people aren't looking to break rules/laws just for the sake of breaking them. Which is all "getting by" with some speeding would be. For safety reasons its reasonable to slow down a bit when you see an emergency vehicle. It could be a routine traffic stop or there could be something going on which is dangerous for the police/med or even for the person driving by in the case where a criminal decidedes to suddenly flee.
I'm flabbergasted 1) this had to be asked 2) the number of comments with people being irrational pricks about something which should be common sense and basic self-preservation.
